🗽 Fireworks Fade. But These American Values Shouldn’t.
From Switzerland to America: A Birthday Wish That Goes Deeper
Hi, I’m Daniel—and you’re reading The Fearless YOU, the newsletter that gently shakes you awake, reminds you that Nature had it right all along, and helps you build a life that feels like yours.
We publish 4 times a week. Enough to stir the soil, prune the noise, and plant fresh ideas in that overworked brain of yours.
Hey there,
Whether you’re flipping burgers, watching fireworks, or just trying to squeeze in a moment of rest between shifts.
Happy 4th of July.
I know that many of you reading this are proud Americans. Some of you are quiet patriots.
Working long days, raising families, and building small businesses. Holding it together in an insane world that rarely stops to say thanks.
So, first—I want to thank you.
Not the politicians.
Not the influencers.
But you. The ones who care. Who show up. Who still believe in something good.
Today, as a European, I’m writing to say something that may be a little unexpected.
USA matters. Even outside of America.
But maybe not in the way you think?
I don’t wake up each day thinking about the U.S.
But I do feel the ripples. In the culture, in the economy, and in how my clients discuss their stress, food, and freedom (or lack of it).
When America sneezes, the world catches a cold. But the opposite is also true: When America heals, the world watches. And follows.
Here’s my personal wish for your nation as it celebrates 249 years of independence.
(And yes, coming from a Swiss man whose country’s roots stretch back to 1292, I say that with a wink and a lot of respect 😉)
I wish for farmers to steward their land with pride again, without fear of going broke.
I wish collecting rainwater didn’t require permits or fear.
I wish homes were affordable for families, not just hedge funds.
I wish traditions weren’t called old-fashioned, but treasured.
I wish American food could again stand for vitality, not Frankenfoods.
I wish health were a source of pride, not something you can't afford.
I wish Americans remembered how much the world still looks to them—for better or worse.
I wish borders were respected. That entry required love for what’s sacred, not plans to destabilize it.
None of that is political.
It’s personal.
It’s human. And honestly—it’s regenerative.
I may not be American. But my roots are close.
My father legally immigrated to Canada and lived the last 40 years of his life as a proud citizen. I’ve always carried a quiet reverence for North America. Its optimism, its courage, its wild possibilities.
And that’s why I care. That’s why I write to you today.
So wherever you are, and whatever your plans today:
I hope you remember that independence isn’t just a holiday.
It’s a way of living.
Of thinking for yourself.
Of protecting what matters.
Of building something that lasts beyond fireworks.
Happy Independence Day
To your freedom and health,
Daniel
