Remember being 10?
When the world was our playfield and ready for exploration.
When your dreams weren’t optimized… they were just felt.
And our dreams were big, right?
You told the world you’d be a nurse.
Or a pirate.
Or the first mechanic to fly to Mars.
You believed it fully.
Our conviction was unshakeable
And nobody could tell you otherwise.
Until the world did.
Little by little, you traded wonder for “whatever works.” Clarity for compliance.
Most of us did. More or less...
And somewhere along the way? You stopped growing from your roots. You started growing from fear.
So let me ask you a question:
What’s your rootprint? Not your résumé. Not your social following. Not even your carefully crafted “brand.” I mean the real, natural pattern your life creates when you grow from your values—not your wounds.
Because somewhere along the way, we all started chasing legacy as if it were a LinkedIn metric. But legacies are fragile. Rootprints are alive.
Rootprint (noun)
Definition: The unique, natural pattern your life creates when you grow from your values, not your fears.
“Forget your legacy—what’s your rootprint?”
When you build from fear, your life looks like:
A career that impresses, but quietly depletes
Relationships that are “fine,” but unrooted
Habits that are productive, but not meaningful
Choices made from pressure, not presence
Looks and sounds always impressive. But is this YOU?
Because when you build from your rootprint, everything shifts:
Energy starts to come back to you and lasts much longer. You stop asking for permission to be yourself.
Your work begins to heal, not just to perform like an elephant in the circus arena.
You feel at home. In your life, in your body, in your mission (remember childhood?) Yes, that kind of mission.
Here’s what I believe: It's never “late”. And you’re not lost.
You’re simply not living from your rootprint. Yet.
🌱 And that’s not a flaw. Or another accusation you feel is unfair.
It’s your invitation.
So this week, I challenge you to ask:
What did I know about myself before the world taught me to fear it?
What drains me that I’ve been calling “normal”?
If I grew my life like a garden—not a résumé—what would I plant first?
No, this isn’t another 10-step hack to “find your purpose.”
It’s a memory. Of what was always there. And buried under time and obligations. To make you feel "needed" or "important."
But where remains the real YOU?
Start by finding your rootprints…
To your freedom and health,
Daniel

PPS: Keep an eye on your inbox this week.
Something’s coming your way that might change how you make every important decision from now on. Watch for my next emails. It’s not just another tip…
It’s the tool that turns hesitation into confidence. It works for me.
The AI seems very well tuned to the idea of an organic work space😀
This is deep and truthful. To reconnect with that sense of doing things because they brought you joy and rooted you in the moment, not because they made the algorithm favor you. Thank you for sharing this 🙏🏾
