Protein bars and energy drinks promise everything. Rightly so? The truth is, you don’t need them to feel vibrant. You need to trust what your body already knows. Nature works in rhythms, and they are enough.
I came across an interesting concept at a conference today: what if food labelling had to include not just the ingredients, but also the nutrient density of what we’re eating? Would it change the way we shop?
A carrot from an industrial farm is not equal to an organic carrot—nutritionally or otherwise. Yet, we often miss out on the benefits of nutrient-dense whole foods, replacing them with ultra-processed options masked by convenience. It’s a thought-provoking idea that challenges how we value and choose our food. Curious to hear what others think about this!
You’re completely right. Nutrient density would be a great help to chose the right food.
There are already farms that label their products. Or they let you test it yourself. With the so-called refractometer. It’s not 200% accurate always, but good enough to eat healthier.
For perfect results you need a lab - and it’s more challenging than rocket science… (Sorry, NASA folks…:-)
